INDEPENDENCE/DEPENDENCE

My wife and I have had the privilege to raise 3 great kids who are grown, married, and on their own. Each child was/is different, but one thing remained the same. As they grew up and matured, they took on more responsibility and slowly began to become increasingly independent.

Isn't it interesting that as we mature as believers, we become less and less independent and more and more dependent?

i like the word: interdependent.

interesting thoughts.

When I first became a Christian I was very dependent because I accepted God's grace - I couldn't do it, but by God's grace so I was like a baby.

Later I became more independent as I felt like I gained more knoweldge, got into the rhythm and knew the ropes of church life.

As you mature and become broken I think the dependency increases on God - but it is different from the first time.

That was my "journey" - I hate that word - it has been castrated. What?

Anyways - being a spiritual leader is leading people to follow someone else. (Jesus) I like that quote.

Love ya pops - I still depend on your key eye site to help locate my golf balls after my enormous slices.
