CONSISTENCY

"It isn't hard to be good from time to time. What's tough is being good every day."
Willie Mays (baseball all of famer)

Mays is so right! It's easy to be a good husband/father/grandfather/neighbor/worker some of the time...but it's tough being good every day. Sometimes that very fact can create a feeling of inadequacy or frustration in each of us...as we seem to "miss the mark." Consistency does not come without a cost. Nothing of any value does. Are you willing to pay the price? If you're committed (another good 'C' word) to being consistent in your life, and you embrace it, think it, and practice it, you will move closer to goal each day.

Willie put the ball in play 3 times out of every 10 at bats over his career, and he made it into the baseball hall of ! There's hope...

Yes, it is hard to be good every day. We need to concentrate even harder on those "off" days, to cast off any of our demons and cleanse our souls. We need to have the courage to cling to our beliefs as we connect with others. We can not sit back and count on others to be the catalyst for positive change. Life s not a cakewalk, and we can not become complacent if we go 3 for 10, in life.

Dave,

Thanks for taking the time to meet with my wife Julie and myself at church this week. You gave us some things to ponder.
