"WE'RE IN!"

The Detroit Tigers are have clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 19 years! This has been a special summer for the boys at Comerica Park. They deserve the pennant but they're going to have to play their best in order for it to fly in Detroit.

Pitching has been strong...their defense has improved greatly from last year...their hitting has been timely. Bottomline: The 2006 Tigers believe in themselves. That is directly related to the outstanding leadership of manager, Jim Leyland.

Looking forward to the playoffs...
