ALRIGHT, IT'S OVER

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse for the Lions, they found a way to squander any miniscule glimmer of hope they might have had. They don't even deserve the first round pick and the first round pick deserves a team where he can thrive and have a career.

I confess, out of some wierd kind of respect, I was listening to Coach Marinelli and I fell for his week in and week out message that the Lions were getting better and they were going to stay the course. Now I know that Coach would stay the course even if he was coaching a team that was 0-50. It may be the only course he knows.
If he stays with the Lions, that record would be in the realm of possibility, but alas, he'll be fired at the end of this season.

Then what? The Lions start all over with a new system a new coaching staff and a plea to the fans to give them a few years to work out the kinks. There is no hope for this team...there is no hope for this franchise...there is no hope for anything to be different until Mr. Ford sells this team to a person who knows and loves football and will not tolerate mediocrity.

Go Redskins!
