"WE'RE IN!"

The Detroit Tigers are have clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 19 years! This has been a special summer for the boys at Comerica Park. They deserve the pennant but they're going to have to play their best in order for it to fly in Detroit.

Pitching has been strong...their defense has improved greatly from last year...their hitting has been timely. Bottomline: The 2006 Tigers believe in themselves. That is directly related to the outstanding leadership of manager, Jim Leyland.

Looking forward to the playoffs...

WHICH WAY TO THE RED ZONE??

Kitna: I'm sure it was this way guys...I think...

R. Williams: Nah, it's gotta be this way.

Kitna: But there are guys standing in our way and we'll never be able to get through them, and they're wearing black uniforms and they look mean.

R. Williams: Yeah, I agree, but I guarantee we're gonna win next week!

Millen: We're doing great guys. I'm scouting for more coaches that have a last name that begins with 'M'....just in case. The Ford's sure do have confidence in me. Even though we seldom win...we don't always try real hard....you can take that to the bank.

Another miserable performance by the Lions.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCHEME!

She's the greatest
She's the best
She's cuter now than before
She remains the one I adore
She everything I can dream
That's the reason I call her Scheme!

Happy Birthday to the one I love!

IT'S A BIRD...NO A PLANE...

Celebrating Autumn's 7th birthday in Chicago, provided this interesting shot in Millenium Park. It's amazing what some will do when they see their reflection in a curved hunk of chrome!

Happy Birthday Autumn!

MILLEN'S MUDDLING

The Lions have finally pulled the trigger and sent another top draft pick packing. Matt Millen has let his coach say, "seeya" to Charles Rogers the Lions first round draft choice in 2003. This follows the departure of the 2002 "hope for the future," first rounder, Joey Harrington who now is fishing in Miami and waiting for an opportunity to throw a few interceptions in Florida.

Millen continues to be the "stick in the spokes" of the Lions, and until the Ford family deals with him, Lions fans are going to be forced to wait for the Lions to win their second playoff game in 50 years.

Here's something interesting a fun...who do you think will be the next Lions coach? (Remember: his name will begin with 'M' if Millen is still around.
